The word “creator” displeases me.
We are only organizers and dispose of forms (which exist, which we have not “created”) in a certain order.
The creator would be the one who would do anything with nothing.
Romain Arreghini is the choreographer and the artistic director of the dance company Laboratoire chorégraphique Dhyana Dance Lab.
After completing his studies at the École de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower, he studied at the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne. In addition to ballet dance, Martha Graham technique and the Maurice Béjart repertoire, he studied singing, percussion, theater and kendo as well as various traditional dance styles (Indian, Cuban, African, Flamenco dances).
In 2009, he was dancer for the choreographer Redha in the show “Pour la beauté du geste” directed by Pierre-Loïc Lainé.
He joined the Jeune Ballet d’Aquitaine in 2009 where he mets the choreographer Christine Hassid who will propose him in 2015 to dance in the play “Beldurra”.
In 2010, he met Marie-Geneviève Massé and her baroque dance company L’Éventail with whom he danced “Don Juan et les 4 saisons”, “Monsieur de Pourceaugnac” with the Musiciens de Saint-Julien and Les Malins Plaisirs, “Les Ballets de Noverre” with the Concert Spirituel,”Les Amants Magnifiques” with the Malins Plaisirs and the Concert Spirituel.
In 2012, he was an actor, dancer and choreographer in the play “King Arthur, the Wild Hunt” with Rogue Theater in Truro, England.
In 2014, Françoise Denieau proposed to dance with the Théâtre de Caen and the Arts Florissants in the show “Rameau, maître à danser”.
From 2015 to 2016, he worked for the Tanzcompagnie in Giessen (Germany) with the choreographer Tarek Assam in the plays “Petrushka vs Feuervogel”, “Penelope wartet” and “Gravitas”. He had also the opportunity to co-choreograph the dance piece “Urban voices”.
Back in France, he choreographed for the musical play “Bouteille(s) à la mer” with the company Soleil de Nuit.
He works regularly with the company Acta Fabula as a dancer, actor, choreographer and assistant director, notably for the play “Je suis un arbre”.
